LOCA BIKES
LOCA BIKES is a Wrocław-based workshop where we handcraft
gravel bikes, road bikes, and lightweight urban bikes with belt drives.

We chose this name because we wanted not only to build unique bikes, but also to create them in a unique, perhaps even slightly unconventional way: somewhere between mass production and full custom builds.
The name LOCA comes from the English word “local” – because our bikes really are made locally. We design, paint, and assemble them in Wrocław, and our aluminium and steel frames are welded in Poland.
Local production is not only a point of pride for us – it also means better quality control, faster implementation of improvements, and quicker response to your needs. We believe it's the bike that should be tailored to the rider, not the other way around.
Most of our bikes are built from scratch, which means we can perfectly match both the technical configuration and the paint job to your needs. Our standard models were created as if we were building them for ourselves – but if you need something different, no problem.
Just tell us what you're looking for, and we'll create a bike that fits you perfectly.
We use only top-quality materials in our gravel, road, and urban bikes – ultra-light 7020 aluminium, Italian Columbus ZONA steel, and carbon fibre from the Japanese brand Toray. The way our bikes ride and look is a result of thoughtful geometry, precise craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail – from
hand-smoothed welds and internal cable routing to smart configurations and careful assembly.
We only work with trusted components from leading brands: SRAM, Shimano, ZIPP, Dandy Horse, Tufo, Cane Creek, and Sapim. The result? Bikes that are lightweight, durable, and simply a joy to ride. Each one goes through a multi-step quality check and arrives to you almost ready to roll.
LOCA was born from a desire to create truly exceptional bikes – the kind you just want to ride. But how they're made matters just as much. We prioritise local production because it reduces CO2 emissions and the pollution associated with long-distance transport. With everything happening close to home, we can ensure that all manufacturing stages meet environmental standards and that everyone involved works in fair and decent working conditions.
LOCA is our adventure – born from a passion for bikes, and still going strong.
Over the years, we've poured in hard work, heart, and energy to get to where we are today. We're proud of every single bike that has left our workshop, and every step that's helped us grow along the way. Take a look at where it all began – and where we're headed next!
Above all, LOCA BIKES is about people – passionate riders who truly love bikes in every form. We don't just design and build them – we ride them ourselves, a lot.
You'll find us on the road, on singletracks and in bike parks. If you share our passion, drop us a line – maybe we'll go for a ride together!
Back in 2015, he started LOCA on his own. He learned the basics of bike mechanics while fixing his BMXs, inspired by legends like Dave Mirra and Matt Hoffman. After years in the IT industry, he decided to finally turn his passion into a business and began building custom bikes.
In his free time, you might find Olek riding pump tracks in Wrocław, exploring nearby gravel trails or spending weekends with his family in the Karkonosze mountains.
At LOCA, Szymon drives marketing and business development, but don't be surprised if you find him working on a custom build too. He's always up to date with the latest trends and tech. Off the clock, he's a cat lover, avid enthusiast, always ready for adventure.
You'll catch him on the trails with the Biketrippin crew. He's happy to help you spec out your dream bike – and over coffee, he's got plenty of bikepacking stories to share.
Master of the wrench and bike surgeon all in one. Maciek handles even the most complex builds with precision, and revives old suspension like Dr. Frankenstein himself. He knows every LOCA inside out and can bleed brakes with his eyes closed.
Proud owner of Leon, the chief GRX cardboard destroyer. In his free time, you'll find Maciek in bike parks, testing his hand-built steel downhill beast: the Dark Owl.
There's a good chance your bike was built by Karol. He's experienced, precise, and patient – ready to fix anything and happy to share tips on bike care. Always helpful in the workshop, and if you're lucky, he might tell you a few stories about the many animals he looks after at his countryside home.
His favourite riding spots? Radunia and Czarna Góra – preferably fast, downhill, and with a grin on his face.
The steel calf of LOCA BIKES. No one rides more, or faster, than Sławek. He leads sales and customer consultations, and with his knowledge, he's basically a rolling bike encyclopedia.
You'll find him on the climbs around Sobótka – if you can catch him. On his TT bike, he's racking up KOMs one after the other!
An irreplaceable part of the team. Leon is the first to greet customers, he's the workshop patrol officer, and an (aspiring) logistics assistant.
Just keep an eye on your sandwiches – if you leave them unattended, they're as good as gone
Maja is a biotechnologist whose analytical mind helps optimise our production and business processes at LOCA. With her positive attitude and ease of building relationships, Maja maintains strong connections with our many suppliers and business partners.
In her free time, Maja rides her bike, reads books about neurology, or practices yoga.
