We chose this name because we wanted not only to create unusual bicycles but also to produce them in an unconventional, somewhat crazy way - at the intersection of mass production and custom manufacturing.
We want to operate as much locally as possible, as this allows us to significantly reduce the impact of production on the environment and supports our economy and other related cycling businesses. Operating locally also means more control over the production process and quality. It gives us the opportunity for easier introduction of new solutions and faster response to your needs. This is the main idea behind our business - the bike should be customized to the user, not the other way around. That's why we approach each order individually, and each bike fully reflects your requirements and riding style!
In 2015, he started Loca on his own - he learned the basics of bicycles by fixing his BMX bikes when stars like Dave Mirra and Matt Hoffman were at their peak. After years in the IT industry, he decided to turn his passion into a business and started creating custom bikes. In his free time, you'll find Olek at Wrocław's pump tracks, local gravel trails, or in the Karkonosze Mountains, where he goes on weekends with his family.
At Loca, Szymon is mainly responsible for marketing and development. Always up to date with the latest trends and technical innovations. Privately, he's a cat lover. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he is not afraid of any adventure! You'll meet him on the trails with the Biketrippin crew. He will gladly advise you on how to build your dream bike and share his bikepacking stories over a cup of coffee.
You can usually find him in the workshop, where he rescues long-lost suspension forks and assembles the most complicated projects. He knows Loca Bikes bicycles inside out and can bleed brakes with his eyes closed. Privately, the owner of Leon - a GRX cartons destroyer. In his free time, you will meet Maciek at bike parks, where he tests Dark Owl - a self-made steel downhill bike.
There's a good chance that Karol was the one who assembled your bike. He is an experienced mechanic who will gladly explain to you how to take the best care of your bike and solve any more problematic faults. If you're lucky, during your visit to the workshop, you will hear stories about his animals, of which he has plenty at his countryside home! You can meet him on trails at Radunia and Czarna Góra.
Mikołaj technically doesn't work at Loca, but he had to be on our website. After all, he is responsible for the look of our bikes! He approaches each project individually, and he knows all the colour palettes like the back of his hand. He is a painter with years of experience. PS. The coffee in his office is better!
A crucial member of the team without whom we wouldn't handle the logistics. He always welcomes customers with pleasure and brings the necessary boxes with parts. Just remember not to leave food on the table around him!
