Design: LOCA | Tadek Ciechanowski
Paintwork: Dreamworkers
We felt this bike category demanded it, and the e-bike's design had to be just as futuristic as the concept itself. Designed by Wroclaw artist Tadek Ciechanowski, Midnight Sky nods to cyberpunk neon and sci-fi aesthetics.
Like all our projects, the frame was painted using the "wet paint" technique. Each successive layer is applied by hand and dries directly on the frame's surface, hence the name. This process lets the paint shop achieve virtually any pattern or colour transition, including the gradients in Midnight Sky.

Do you have your own bike design idea?
We'll help you make it a reality!
LOCA.CSTM is a close collaboration with our team. Whether your idea for a new project is fully fleshed out or you're just starting your journey – you decide the final design and configuration!

Our electric gravel bike is built to surprise you with its comfort on long rides across varied terrain. The comfortable stack/reach ratio allows you to cover long distances without excessive fatigue. Chainstays that are short for an e-bike and a steep head tube
angle ensure precise handling and a high level of control in challenging terrain. The motor sits low, with a BB drop of as much as 75 mm. This lowers the centre of gravity and clearly improves the bike's stability, especially in corners.

We build every bike according to a single principle: it must be good enough that we'd want to ride it ourselves. The frames undergo rigorous strength tests in accordance with the European ISO standard, and are additionally tested at the leading EFBE laboratory
in Germany. This is complemented by a multi-stage quality control process: upon receipt of the frames, after painting, and after assembly. Thanks to this, we are confident that the Rayo will withstand years of intensive riding on the most demanding routes.

Lightweight, stiff, and durable – our carbon delivers excellent vibration damping, razor-sharp handling, and all-day comfort, even on demanding terrain.
Wireless levers mean a clean cockpit and precise shifting. Tight gear steps and a wide range give you an advantage on climbs and fast sections alike. HS2 rotors dissipate heat better and boost braking power by up to 7% – brake with confidence even in extreme conditions. The carbon crank and derailleur cage bring greater stiffness and lower weight, while the extra buttons on the levers let you control your navigation more easily while riding.
The ultra-light construction makes climbs easier to conquer, even the ones that once felt out of reach. And when you need to carry the bike, it will not be a problem.
Clearance in line with modern standards opens up huge tyre options
– letting you run the best gravel tyres on the market.

The Bafang M820 didn't end up here by chance. This central motor offers high power while maintaining compact dimensions. With a torque of 80 Nm, it allows you to tackle even steep, mountainous climbs efficiently. The integrated 360 Wh battery in the down tube, despite its small size and weight, enables rides exceeding 70 km.

Thanks to FSA ACR technology and wireless drivetrains, all cables are fully hidden inside the cockpit and frame. The frame-integrated display and the motor control buttons under the handlebar keep operation intuitive without compromising the bike's aesthetics or its compatibility with bikepacking bags.

Carefully selected components deliver reliability and comfort on every kilometre.
We use advanced wireless SRAM AXS groupsets in most of our gravel builds. Why? Set it once and forget it. Flawless shifting no matter the conditions, massive gear range, long battery life, low weight, great stiffness and a clean look. What more could you ask for?

From the legendary ZIPP 303 XPLR S carbon wheels, through boutique Dandy Horse builds, to bombproof Mavics – we rely only on proven solutions that we have been riding ourselves for years. Tyres are just as important. We chose the Czech Tufo Thundero HD – one of the fastest gravel tyres on the market, with a reinforced casing that stands up brilliantly to cuts.
In cycling, the most important people are those who ride the bikes. Read what media and our customers say about LOCA Bikes.

The first words that come to mind are Absolutely! We design all models with a simple idea in mind: Would we want to ride them ourselves?
The bikes undergo rigorous durability tests and multi-stage quality control. The frames meet European ISO standards. Additionally, we test the models on our behalf in a leading German laboratory, EFBE, according to even more rigorous standards.
Each unit undergoes: frame quality control upon receipt, paint quality control after painting, and technical inspection after assembly. We work with regularly calibrated torque wrenches from one of the best brands on the market, Wera. We only use professional tools from renowned companies such as Park Tool, VAR, Unior, Wera, Shimano, SRAM, Cyclus, Enduro, DT Swiss, and Feedback Sports.
We want to be proud of every bike you receive and create products that you can ride with confidence for years to come.
