GRAVEL BIKES ALUMINIUM
Our gravel bikes are machines on which you can successfully overcome your limits and reach your full potential. Amateur racing? Bikepacking across mixed terrain? Intensive, everyday riding in all conditions? Breaking records on Strava and scorching it on the road? They all fit the bill.
We spent months working on our gravel bikes. After numerous tweaks and tests, we can safely say that you can’t fault them. Our gravel bikes are hardy, light and versatile. And above all, they deliver pure riding pleasure.
Do you want the specifics? The technical merits? No sweat. The heart of all our gravel bikes are light but durable frames made of AL7020 aluminium (which is lighter and stronger than the popular 6061 T6 alloy) and full carbon forks. Both frame and fork are designed for the flat mount standard.
Our frames are welded in Gliwice, Poland. We use high quality materials - the tubes come from Germany and have EN certificates, while the head tubes, dropouts and bottom bracket shells are made in-house in Gliwice. The design, development and painting of frames are also local processes.
The tapered headtube guarantees reliable handling and high stability when riding, and the carbon fork provides good shock absorption.
Stability and stiffness are also positively influenced by the thru axles of Polish manufacturer BB Components.
The key premise when designing our gravel bikes was to combine sportiness with high versatility. The frame geometry provides excellent maneuverability and control, allows for comfortable, fast riding over long distances. At the same time, we left clearance for 700x43c tires and provided the option to mount full-length fenders, a front rack on the fork, a sturdy rear rack and two bottle cages.
In the world of gravel bike lovers there are fans of 1x11 and 2x11 drivetrains. But why argue?
We decided to accommodate both, and that's why with our gravel bikes, you can opt for a Shimano GRX RX 800 1x11, 2x11 or GRX RX400 2x10 groupset.
We can also talk about wheels. Do you like giving it your all on the road? Go for 700x35c or 700x38c wheels. Do you prefer rolling on gravel or adventuring off the beaten path with friends? Go for 650x47c or 700x43c. You can also opt for a tubeless system instead of inner tubes.
Let us know what you need, and we'll be happy to talk about the solutions. Of course, in addition to the technical configuration, we can also do custom painting. More often than not, a color change or any reasonably simple design (i.e single color + lettering) is included in the price of the bike.
Climbs and problems with traction can keep us awake at night, right? Our cooperation with Garbaruk, a Krakow-based company, has allowed us to introduce two innovations to our gravel bikes:
The oval front chainring will give you a smooth crank rotation and improve grip on difficult terrain. The Garbaruk cassette and derailleur cage allow the installation of cassettes with a range up to 10-50t. Such a range will allow you to ride in all conditions. Together it will save more than 250 g!
For each gravel bike from Loca, you have a 5-year warranty on the frames and a 2-year warranty on all other parts except for consumable components that are prone to wear and tear, such as tires or inner tubes.
When you open the box containing your gravel bike from Loca, you will see that it is already 90% assembled. All you have to do is set the handlebars in the right position, install the front wheel, screw in the pedals, and get ready for the lap of honor that awaits.
